- Hi All Welcome to this newsletter edition of Roaring Runways, which includes the goings-on of our Model Aviation Northland members' articles and other club correspondence.
- There has been a very noticeable absence of members flying at our field. However, Sean and I have been flying every moment possible. We've had outstanding weather conditions, and trusting our gut instinct over the weather report has definitely paid off, not missing out on great flying conditions.

We had a modest but dedicated group at the last club day and enjoyed some excellent flying before the wind picked up. Looking ahead, we had planned to provide hot soup at our next club day on August 31st. However, due to an unfavorable weather forecast, the club day will likely be postponed.
With the overcast and rough weather we have had brought up a issue with the solar unit not charging the batteries fully.
Carl approached Hubands Energy, which generously donated 4 new solar panels to replace the panels they donated before.
Changing of the panels was a sucsess and more solar charging is now acheaved.
As a thank-you from the club, Hubands Energy were presented with a letter of gratitude and thanks, accompanied by a food platter for their morning tea.
