  • Hi All Welcome to this newsletter edition of Roaring Runways, which includes the goings-on of our Model Aviation Northland members' articles and other club correspondence.

  • Please don't forget the AGM is scheduled for the 18th of January, and we would like you to please consider if you would like to play a part in the management of our club. Even though some committee members are looking to stay on all positions are potentially available Committee positions are as follows Chair Person Secretary Treasurer Club Captain Committee member 1 Committee Member 2 Also the Editor The mowing register is over updated to the robot mower now but please keep in mind that there is weed eating still to be done from time to time. Field Update
John and Christine are cutting some pine trees down out the back of the farm. Please make sure the access road is left clear, as this is the access way for the log trucks. The airfield extension is growing grass; we have already used it for landing and takeoffs. Thank you Andreas for fixing the toilet door

Robot Mower Update
Our robot mower is getting an upgrade with a GPS version. This will allow the mower to cover the airstrip, pits, and parking areas. The robot mower El Capitan Willie is now updated and mowing the airstrip and carpark. The mower does not have an onboard park function if you would like to fly please call Doug or Carl and we can park the mower Thank you to Carl as he has made it possible, as Husqvarna has offered him a deal.
Club Day
Club Day was great, the weather was great for flying. We put out invitations to the Kaitaia, Kaikohe & Bluegoose clubs and had members of the Kaitaia club join us for the day. BBQ for our Christmas eats and John & Christine and some of their friend join in for lunch. Overall a great day.
