Field Update
The robot mower has still been tirelessly working on the manicure of our field with great success. Thank you to Grant, Carl, and Sean have been tending to field duties after the storm, weed-eating, cleaning the mower and rolling the field. During the height of the storm, our weather station recorded a wind gust of 153 kph
Thank you, Sean, for fabricating the starting stand

Club Day
Last club day was great with lots of flying and BBQ at lunch with hot dogs.

Hi fellas remember this coming ANZAC weekend is (Club day Sunday). Maybe bring a warbird?. As you can see by the pictures Sean has put together a model "starting / prep" stand for testing. The idea is that we will remove the warratahs from the field and the stands will be on wheels, stored on or in the containers and pulled out for use at the appropriate end when we are flying. There will be a pair of them. Being at bench height it makes a real nice and safe for starting your model before lifting and placing it on the runway or taxi-way. The dimensions have been checked to ensure they cope with 99% of our models and the stands have the capacity to be modified for the exception. So at this stage, they will take any type of trainer/sport model up to a 1/4 scale Cub. We envisage anything larger will be started on the ground anyway as it will be too big to safely handle in this way. Huge thanks to Sean for his efforts and the usual suspects for the continued looking after and enhancement of our facility. More to come!. G
